You can use intuitive movement everyday as a way to stay connected with your body, support your nervous system & be in your fullest expression. 

Intuitive movement is an integral part of the somatic movement classes that I teach. The benefits of feeling into your body can ripple through your being and cause expansion throughout your entire life! 

Here is why:

What is Intuitive Movement

Intuitive movement is movement that is not choreographed or planned & is present moment, sensory based & oftentimes messy/raw and uninhibited. 

Any kind of freeform movement like this brings us into a beautiful mind-body connection. Here we are relearning the lost language of our bodies. 

We are able to hear our body’s cues, feel into her natural rhythms, sense her intuition, feel her pain, her grief, her power- & we begin to stop betraying our body and start honoring her again.

When was the last time you truly honored your body and felt nothing but gratitude for her? 

Why We Need Intuitive Movement

When our nervous systems are dysregulated we are responding to present circumstances from past experiences and trauma. 

This means we are present but our bodies and subconscious are stuck in the past.

Practicing intuitive movement guides us into the present moment & gives us a felt sense of being alive, safe, Real, in the here & now.

Connecting to Your Inner Child

Intuitive movement can also be a playful, fun, expressive way to connect with our inner child. 

Children love to dance and move their bodies in a way that feels good to them - they don’t care what anyone else may think, they aren’t worried about what they’re “supposed” to do. 

We can use this type of movement to explore our own creative essences.  

We can allow ourselves to find a sense of liberation & freedom through letting our energy - our life force - move through our bodies.

 

How does Intuitive Movement help us Heal

Intuitive movement is EXPRESSION, the opposite of suppression - which is what most of us do when we don’t like how something feels. 

Rather than stuffing down the emotions we do not like and creating a mental story about it- you can choose to let your body feel the feeling and move it through you. 

What we do not feel, eventually makes us sick, friends. That’s the root of dis-ease. 

So, when we accept and even embrace the feelings - yes, even the icky ones, we are helping our bodies to process and heal. 

Our bodies know how to heal themselves, they want to feel good! Movement is the medicine. 

Manifestation through Intuitive Movement

Often the missing piece of manifesting your desires is the disconnect between your thoughts & desires and your body. 

The key to manifestation is that You manifest in your body!!! 

FEEL and embody the thing you desire within your heart.

MOVE with it, let it have its way with you. Curate a true physical relationship with your desire. 

Play in it, anchor it in through movement and watch new experiences, opportunities and people come into your life. 

Next time you feel stuck in your head, anxious, sad, dense, orrr even lit up- use free form movement as a way to support you. 

Feel your feels, baby! Let your body show you what true liberation is.

1. Use movements that are not choreographed or planned, but unfolds in the present moment and is sensory based. Do what feels good to you!

2. Connect to the present moment and set the intention to be here now.

3. Allow yourself to find a sense of liberation & freedom through your movements - connect to your inner child and have fun!

4. Use this movement when you feel stuck, anxious, sad, angry - or even excited or happy! Feel into all of your feels and allow your body to process all of the emotions you feel.

5. Add intuitive movement to your manifestation practices and watch miracles happen for you.
